About DukeEngage South Korea

A group of eight Duke University students and two faculty directors will be in Seoul, South Korea for this DukeEngage program. For our major service project we will work at the Kumkang School for North Korean settlers in order to assist their educational goals, specifically in the subjects of english, math, and the arts. In addition, we will be immersed in a society facing the looming issue of a unification with North Korea. While in Seoul, we will further our understanding of the history, political economy, and culture of the two Koreas and gain insight into the steps toward unification as well as the major players in the unification process.
